Fraser Forster .GIF Compilation

February 4, 2014

The reigning and future champions Celtic have now gone 1125 minutes without conceding a goal in Scottish domestic football. The 11 league games they’ve played within that time sets an all-time club record, with the lion’s share of that credit going to goalkeeper Fraser Forster. After all, clean sheets are accredited purely to keepers, therefore it is as much his record as it is Celtic. Though there will be a few envious glances from around the league from stoppers who believe that if they played in a defence that matched the stingy nature of Virgil van Dijk and company then they’d have a chance at putting themselves in the history books also.

There’s certainly justification in such an argument, but as we concluded in our 12 Best Goalkeepers of the Scottish Premiership list, regardless of the defence that plays in front of him we believe that Forster is undoubtedly the league’s best custodian. And while he’s remained a spectator in some of their recent matches, when called upon he has produced some incredible saves to keep the run intact.

To celebration his achievement, we’ve put together a compilation of his top five stops throughout this stretch of games.

Enjoy!
